About Lean Methods

We are a global management consulting firm specializing in the application of highly collaborative and methodical approaches to business performance improvement. Our business model is simple: we apply Lean methodologies to solve our clients’ problems. Through our portfolio of Strategy, Innovation, Operational Excellence, Data Analytics, and Change Management methods, we help you solve today’s toughest problems while building your team’s capabilities to sustain success and drive change tomorrow.

How We Work

We have three basic tenets:

Collaborative: It isn’t just a buzz word and it doesn’t simply mean working together. At Lean Methods, we study the science of collaboration because our entire approach to improving your business is based on our ability to engage, instruct and motivate your team to drive results.

Methodical: We apply highly structured, methodical approaches to all aspects of your business, including Strategy, Strategic Planning, Innovation, Process Improvement and Daily Management. The application of structured, systematic approaches is the only way to ensure your people quickly learn to use the same tools and methods that we do; and that is the key to ensuring we truly work together.

Results Driven: At the end of the day, it’s all about results. Everything we do has a result in mind. That’s why we’re not big fans of training merely for the sake of training, or for that matter, any engagement that doesn’t have a clear objective in mind. Business should always have clearly measurable goals.

Our Methods

Our methodologies are essential in achieving true collaboration. Your people will be able to quickly adapt to working together, learning new skills, and most importantly, sustaining improvements or changes after our engagement. Through true collaboration, your people will develop the improvements, new ideas and strategies, resulting in the acceptance of changes as the solutions belong to them not us.

We employ a variety of systems designed for speed and results. In many respects, they are all Lean methodologies, which is where we derive our name. They include the following:

  • Lean
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Lean Startup
  • Lean Agile
  • Rapid Replication
  • Design Thinking
  • Strategy Creation
  • Strategic Planning/ (Hoshin Planning)
  • Rapid Innovation
  • Data Analytics
  • Design for Excellence

Our Roots

Lean Methods Group was formed in late 2016. However, our our history stems from over 17 years of experience. Joined by dozens of his former colleagues from Breakthrough Management Group International (BMGI), David Silverstein founded Lean Methods to be a leaner and more focused firm.

Today, through hands-on collaborations with our clients and based on years of research and experience, we apply recognized problem solving tools to the create and execute business strategies across a wide range of industries, geographies and organizations.

We deliver a comprehensive portfolio of Strategy, Innovation, Performance Excellence and Change Management services to clients around the world. With a deep commitment to working side-by-side with our clients to solve tough problems and achieve big outcomes, our experienced professionals thrive on teaching, coaching and succeeding together.

Underpinning everything we do are the skills we forged as a Lean and Six Sigma leader. We excel in the practical side of strategy — making sure you have clear direction and goals while ensuring those goals are truly achievable. We have found that this discipline is often the missing link between strategy success and failure.
