In collaboration with Data Society, Lean Methods is pleased to offer the Data Practitioner course as the first of two learning pathways in a comprehensive data science training program for professionals.  Sharpening the skills you need for a data-driven future begins with understanding data science basics. The Data Practitioner course consists of eight four-hour sessions that build up to a capstone project, providing everything you need to begin your journey working with R and create long-lasting value for your career. This training opens the pathway to advanced and scalable machine learning analytics techniques.

The first pathway, Data Practitioner, will provide a solid foundation while the second, Data Master, will explore more advanced topics and skills.

Take the First Steps Toward Success with R.

Novice learners begin by developing basic R programming skills and gaining knowledge to clean, analyze, and graph data. Data cleaning is essential for removing incorrect and duplicate data, managing any holes in the data, and ensuring the formatting is consistent. Once learners have cleaned the data, they move into the analysis stage, which is all about answering questions with data. Learners then explore data visualization, a powerful tool for transforming data into compelling stories that encourage action, before they dive into building RShiny apps. The Data Practitioner Track culminates in a capstone project that gives learners the opportunity to bring their new skills to life in real business use cases.

Data Society trains Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies to assess their levels of data literacy, train, and then integrate data into their daily work—teaching them to discover innovative ways of using data science, AI, and ML to achieve organizational goals. Most recently, Data Society surpassed its Inc. 5000 2021 ranking of No.1834 to reach No. 847 on this year’s list of the nation’s fastest-growing companies.
