Students should expect to come to the classroom ready to participate in interactive simulations and exercises with students from other industry sectors.  The Lean Methods’ Master Black Belt (MBB) will speak to and use examples for different industries as applicable.

Following the disciplined Six Sigma DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) road map, this course teaches you how to collect and analyze performance data, identify inefficiencies and problems, pinpoint root causes and institute new protocols to greatly improve processes.

In addition to teaching the complementary methodologies of Lean and Six Sigma, this course also provides skills in leading teams through the process of change.

 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Apply such Lean concepts as 5S, waste reduction, process mapping, value stream mapping and mistake proofing.
  • Define, scope and execute DMAIC projects.
  • Apply the DMAIC methodology to business issues and transition projects from phase to phase.
  • Apply basic and more advanced statistical analyses to determine the relationship between key inputs and process outputs.
  • Effectively manage team dynamics and understand how to work with multiple levels of leadership to remove barriers and achieve project success.
  • Close projects and hand over control to process owners.
  • Present projects to instructors, peers and managers.

Anyone desiring the skills of a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and those who seek to become professional problem solvers

Certification

Requirements for Certification:

  • Proficiency of at least 70% on exams
  • Submission and acceptance of Black Belt project
  • Active participation in the classroom

Certificates Received:

  • Upon completing the training course, students will receive a certificate of completion for “Lean Six Sigma Black Belt”
  • Upon meeting the certification requirements above, students will receive a certificate of “Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification”

**Students seeking certification through IASSC must successfully sit for and pass the IASSC exam.  Lean Methods Group’s Black Belt course, quizzes, and exams prepare the student for the IASSC exam based on their Body of Knowledge.  Lean Methods Group’s exams are included in this course, so students have the opportunity to certify through both institutions.

Duration: This is a five-week course  (one week per month for five months).

Location:  Denver, Colorado USA.  Students may attend virtually if desired.

Instructor: Students learn from a seasoned Master Black Belt with over 20 years of experience consulting with companies around the world.

Accreditation: This course is accredited by International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC). These accreditations ensure a robust and consistent training curriculum to be delivered by an expert in Lean Six Sigma.

Please be advised that in the event of a course cancellation, Lean Methods Group is not responsible for airfare penalties or other travel-related expenses you may incur.

While we recognize the need to cancel due to unforeseen events, we kindly ask that you consider the other students in this course when cancelling your enrollment.  We ask for six weeks advance notice so that we may fill your spot and ensure a fun class for the other students.

    • Requests for cancellations/transfers received at least six weeks before the start of the course receive a full refund/transfer to another workshop
    • Requests received within four weeks of the course shall receive a 50% refund.
    • After the course starts, there are no refunds or transfers.
    • Registrants who fail to attend without advance notice are liable for the entire course fee.
    • We can transfer your course fees to another Lean Methods e-learning or instructor-led course of your choice.

You must successfully complete the entire course or program before IACET CEUs, PDUs and a Certificate of Completion can be awarded.
